| Formerly the District of Elizabeth. It is situated approximately 20 km to the north-west of Adelaide. It extends to the Adelaide Hills and includes the residential suburbs of Surrey Downs, Fairview Park in the south and Hillbank and Gould Creek in the north. |

| Named after the river that passes through this elctorate. The name derives from an aboriginal term for stream of water. This seat was created at the 2003 distribution and became effective at the 2006 election. |
