Location Created at the 1998 redistribution, the electoral district of Croydon is situated to the immediate northwest of the City of Adelaide and is bounded in the south by the River Torrens. Largely residential with some light industry.
   
Origin The electoral district of Croydon derives its name from the village by that name laid out in 1855.
