Location This northern electorate of Darwin takes in the suburbs of Wanguri and Leanyer.
   
Origin The electorate draws its name from the Darwin suburb of Wanguri, named after a tribal Aboriginal group who live in the area between south-east Arnhem Bay and Caledon Bay, of whom most at Yirrkala.
