Location Barkley takes in a vast area of rural lands across the mid-north eastern part of the Northern Territory, from Boroloola in the north to Tennant Creek and Barrow Creek in the south.
   
Origin This large electorate takes in most of the Barkly Tableland, named by Landsborough in 1861 after Sir Henry Barkly, Governor of Victoria.
