Description Rural and regional
   
Location Covers the rural hinterland of SA to the east and south-east of Adelaide, extending east to the Victorian border. Its western boundaries are the River Murray, Bremmer River, Finniss River and Lake Albert.
   
Origin Named after Ruby Florence Hammond (1936-1993), who was active in public affairs and was the first Aboriginal person to stand for Parliament in SA.
