Location Taylor lies to the northwest of the city of Adelaide, and is bounded by the Light River in the north. It includes the Edinburgh Airfield.
   
Origin Named after Doris IreneTaylor (1901-1968) who was instrumental in the establishment, in 1953, of the admired charity organisation Meals on Wheels, which delivers millions of meals each year to the aged and infirm using voluntary labour.
