Location
| Encompasses lower hills and plains suburbs at the southern fringes of the Adelaide foothills. The boundaries of the district were changed at the 1998 redistribution and now inlcude Coromandel Valley and part of the suburbs of Flagstaff Hill and O'Halloran Hill to the south. |

Origin
| Sir Samuel Davenport (1818-1906) was one of the first Legislative Councillors for the Province and a merchant and banker who also encouraged the cultivation of a range of crops and fruits, including the production of olive oil. |
