Origin
| Kingsford Smith was named after Sir Charles Kingsford-Smith (1897-1935) Australia's most famous aviator who pioneered more long-distance routes than any other pilot in history. Kingsford Smith was first proclaimed in 1949. The first election was held for the Division in 1949. |
